MoodBoard

In Art, I have made a mood board that contains artwork of several artists around Aotearoa. Most of the artwork in my mood board has a warm colour pallet. By looking at it my mood board are mostly about the environment and women.

I work for Manaiakalani as their Secondary Specialist and came across your blog post online. I love the colour palette you have used here such beautiful warm colours. I know one of the artists' images, Robyn Kahukiwa, but I'm a bit stuck when it comes to the other women. Do you know who they are?
Do you know what's your first project is for the year yet?

  2. Hello! Sorry for the late reply as I didn't receive any notification that you commented on my post. To answer your question, the girl with circle behind her head was painted by Sofia Minson. The name of the painting is 'Rose of the Cross'.

  3. Hi Jhermaine

Thanks for that. I just looked Sofia Minson up. I haven't heard of her before. What an interesting ancestry she has! Being part Māori,Swedish, English and Irish descent.
This paintingThis painting is quite striking. It reminds me of the costumes they wore in the TV series The Luminaries that was set in 1866 in the South Island.
What's your favourite art medium? Paint, photography, illustrations?
