The Blood Vessels

Humans have three main types of blood vessels. Arteries, Veins and Capillaries each blood vessels has a different function.

Arteries
Arteries are vessels that carry blood away from the heart. Arteries have a thick wall and thick layers of muscle because the blood that is travelling in arteries, the blood pressure in them is high and arteries also have elastic fibres. They also have a small-bore (hole) and they do not have any valves. The apparent colour of blood within the Arteries is red.

Veins
Unlike Arteries, Veins take the blood back to the heart. Veins have thinner walls, less muscular and elastic tissue because the blood in veins is under low pressure. Veins also have a large bore(hole) and veins have a valves that keep the blood moving in the right direction. Veins appear to be blue when they are close to the skin.

Capillaries
Capillaries are between arteries and veins. They are a very small one, one cell blood vessels. Because Capillaries are so thin, oxygen, nutrients, and hormones can flow out of the blood into the tissues and also waste materials can flow in.

Simile and Metaphors || Creative Writing Matrix

In English, we have started to do a task from Creative Writing Matrix. I have to explain the difference between metaphor and simile
L.O: Today I am learning the difference between metaphor and simile using examples

What is a Metaphor?
Metaphor is a way of talking things or an action that is not true. It's also comparing two things but not saying like or as.
Example:
The tear is rain that it's falling from the cloud.
He is a snoring dragon.

What is Simile?
The simile is related to metaphor but in simile, you are comparing two unlike things using the words like or as.
Example:
He moves like a sloth.
Her eyes sparkle like diamonds.
